§ Mr. ACLANDThe total number of small holdings provided by county councils for individual applicants up to 31st December, 1914, was 12,634. No complete information is available- as to the number of tenants who have vacated their holdings, but, in the year 1914, 266 tenants vacated at their own request, often to take larger holdings, and eighty-eight tenants received notice to quit from the county councils.
