§ Captain DOUGLAS HALLasked the Secretary of State for War if a lance-corporal of the old Regular Army, who rejoined in 1915 with the rank of sergeant, and has kept that rank for eighteen months, has his rank automatically reduced to that of lance-corporal when his battalion is transferred to Egypt; and, if so, in view of the statements made by the Secretary of State for War and the Army Council, he proposes to take any action in the matter?
