§ Mr. FIELDasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is intended to levy Income Tax from co-operative societies, the Army and Navy and Civil Service Stores, upon their profits on the same scale as ordinary business men or companies; and whether it will be necessary for them in future to use stamps similar to other traders?
§ Mr. McKENNAI do not intend to propose any alteration in the Income Tax law as regards co-operative societies. The Army and Navy and Civil Service Stores are taxed in precisely the same way as other businesses. Co-operative societies are not exempt from Stamp Duty.
