§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGENo official information with regard to the first part, of the question is available, but good authorities have estimated that the total British capital invested abroad amounts to £4,000,000,000 and that the income from interest on Colonial and foreign investments amounts to £200,000,000. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the information contained in pages 119–121 of the Report of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue for the year ended 31st March last (Cd. 7572).
