Mr. MORRELL

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he will make inquiries into the case of Mrs. C. Taylor, No. 184, Cog Lane, Burnley, whose son, Private Walter Taylor, No. 17,664, enlisted on 31st December 1914, in C Company, 1st Battalion Scottish Rifles (Cameronians), and into the case of Mrs. W. Entwistle, No. 85, Waterloo Road, Burnley Wood, Burnley, whose son, Driver Philip Entwistle, No. 70,915, enlisted on 11th January, 1915, in No. 1 Section. 19th Divisional Ammunition Column, and ascertain why neither of these women have yet received any Government allowance?
