§ Sir RYLAND ADKINS
asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that in consequence of the reduction in the staffs of county councils and of printers owing to the enlistment of their men in His Majesty's Forces, and of the scarcity of paper, there will be difficulty in completing the Parliamentary and Local Government Registers by the 31st December, 1915; and whether he will consider the desirability 745W of extending the time for the completion of such registers for 1916 to the 31st January, 1916, and of continuing the register for 1915 in force until that date?
§ Mr. HAYES FISHER
My right hon. Friend the Home Secretary has asked me to reply to this question. The point has not previously been brought to the notice of the Local Government Board. If the hon. Member has any information on the subject, I shall be happy to consider it.
