§ Mr. HORNERasked the Under-Secretary for War the names and places of business of the individual dealers and firms through whom the Remount Department in Ireland is now buying horses for the Army; and upon what dates, respectively, they were appointed or asked to buy?
Mr. BAKERThere are a certain number of dealers in Ireland from whom horses are purchased. They are not appointed buyers by the War Office, but if they have any horses which they think may be suitable for the Army, they advise the Army purchasing officers who then go and inspect with a view to purchase.
