Friend has appointed Lord Murray of Elibank to act temporarily and in an honorary capacity as Director-General of Recruiting for munitions work for the purpose of giving executive effect to the policy of the Ministry of Munitions with regard to organising the supply and securing the most effective and economic distribution of skilled and unskilled labour, both male and female, in munition factories.
