HC Deb 20 April 1915 vol 71 c209W
Mr. BRIDGEMAN

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been called to the case of Colonel C. W. Hemans, who is 66 years of age and crippled with gout, and is kept a prisoner at Nauheim; and if he will consider the possibility of arranging for his exchange?

Sir E. GREY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I would refer the hon. Member to White Paper, Miscellaneous, No. 8, which shows what action has been taken to endeavour to secure the release of Colonel Hemans and the other invalid British retired officers now in Germany.
