§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe two missions are paid by the countries concerned, and no part of the cost falls on Navy Votes. The usual period for which officers contract to serve on these missions is two years, which is sometimes extended by mutual arrangement. The existing contracts will both come under review in the ordinary course next year, and it would be premature to discuss the question of their renewal before it has been raised by the Governments concerned.
