asked the Secretary for the Colonies (1) how many destitute refugees were at Berbera in October, 1913; how many are there at the present time; and whether a camp of refuge was erected for these people outside the town; and, if so, where; and (2) if he will state what relief in food or money was given to the destitute refugees at Berbera; and whether any work was required of them in return for such relief?

I am not in possession of the details for which the hon. Member oasks, but I was informed by the Commissioner of Somaliland that on 5th December last some 850 refugees were at that time being fed in Berbera at Government expense. I am asking the Commissioner for further information.
