§ Mr. J. A. PEASEThe latest returns from local education authorities taking action tinder the Education (Provision of Meals) Act, 1906, are those in respect of the year ended 31st March, 1913. These returns do not state the number of children fed under its provisions in urban and rural schools respectively, but the following table shows, for all local education authorities concerned, the total average attendance in the schools and the total number of children fed:—
