§ Mr. KEIR HARDIEasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that, in fixing the pension of Umesh Chand, lately superintendent of the vernacular office at Ferozepore, eleven years of Government service were disallowed, although similar service had been admitted in other cases; that the record of this man's age and his character roll were dealt with in a manner contrary to the Government regulations; and that after his retirement he was refused permission to practice in the Courts as a vakil or mukhtar, although certified by a number of deputy-commissioners and 2247W others to be fully qualified to do so; and, if not, whether he will cause inquiry to be made into the facts of the case?
