§ Mr. NEWMANasked the Chief Secretary if he will give a Return that will show the names and addresses of the persons who made claims under the Malicious Injuries Acts in Ireland, the particulars of the claim for damages, and the amount claimed, from 1st day of January, 1906, to the date of the Return?
§ Mr. BIRRELLI am not prepared to grant this Return. The information asked for could not be procured without an expenditure of time and labour out of all proportion to its public utility. If the hon. Member will refer to the Judicial Statistics (Civil) published annually and presented to Parliament, he will find Tables giving, by counties, the number of claims for malicious injuries and the amounts claimed in each year.
