§ Mr. RUNCIMANMy attention was recently called to complaints about the slippery condition of the lairage floors at Merklands Wharf. I immediately made inquiries and found that the complaints, though much exaggerated, were to some extent justified, but I am informed that arrangements have been made by the local authority to roughen the concrete so as to provide the animals with a better foothold.
