HC Deb 28 January 1913 vol 47 c1193W
Sir THOMAS ESMONDE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he is aware that it is the custom of the other Government offices to forward replies to questions addressed to them to the Members interested; and if he will arrange for his office to follow the same practice, at least when questions addressed to him are not answered on the days for which they are put down?

Mr. BIRRELL

In pursuance of a longstanding arrangement, copies of replies to Oral Questions are handed in behind the Speaker's Chair for the Members concerned. I shall be glad to adopt the same course with regard to non-Oral Questions, and also to send to Members, personally, copies of answers to any such questions which are not answered on the day for which they are put down.
