§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Commissioners of National Education inform me that sixty-one assistant teachers have been promoted to second grade since 1900, and the Commissioners have other cases under consideration. With regard to the second paragraph of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the question asked on this subject by the hon. Member for West Kerry on 13th January.
