Mr. HARCOURTBy an Order in Council, passed on 25th January, the benefits of the British preferential tariff were extended by Canada to the following: Swaziland, Basutoland, Bechuanaland Protectorate, Northern Rhodesia, Nyasaland Protectorate, Uganda Protectorate, East Africa Protectorate, Protectorate of Northern Nigeria, Colony and Protectorate of Southern Nigeria, Gold Coast, Sierra Leone, Cambia, Somaliland Protectorate, Federated Malay States, British North Borneo, Sarawak, Brunei, Mauritius and Dependencies thereof, Seychelles, St. Helena, Ascension, Friendly Islands or Tonga, Fiji, Falkland Islands, and British Honduras. I cannot say what will be the amount of trade affected by this extension.
