HC Deb 14 August 1913 vol 56 cc2692-3W
Sir J. D. REES

asked the Postmaster-General when he receives the Report of the Committee will he deal at once with the case of the retrenched Transvaal officials who were reappointed to the Post Office, with a view of placing these skilled officials in positions suitable to their experience and qualifications; and whether retroactive effect can be given to such steps as are taken in this behalf?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I am unable to say more than that any recommendation which may be made by the Select Committee on Post Office Servants regarding the officers referred to will receive due consideration.
