§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe total sum issued to the Local Taxation Accounts for England, Scotland, and Ireland under the Agricultural Rates Act, 1896, and consequential Acts up to the 31st March, 1913, inclusive, was £25,220,615. This total includes £299,934 issued to the Local Taxation (Ireland) Account in the financial years 1896–7, 1897–8, and 1898–9 prior to the coming into force of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898.
