Mr. SWIFT MacNEILL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India (1) whether he can lay before the House any information regarding the operation of the new Indian Whipping Act, 1909, and can state the number of judicial whippings in the different provinces in India during the years 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1912; and (2) the number of gaol whippings in the different provinces in India during the years 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1912?
