HC Deb 28 October 1912 vol 43 c74W
Viscount WOLMER

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether his attention has been called to the shortage of magistrates at Warrington county division Petty Sessions; and whether it is intended to appoint any more magistrates for that bench in the near future?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

There are twenty -three magistrates for the County Palatine of Lancaster upon the rota for the Warrington Petty Sessional Division. Appointments to the county bench are usually made on the nomination of the; Lord Lieutenant, who has not intimated to me that any necessity exists for the appointment of more magistrates.
