§ Mr. FELLasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he has received further information with regard to the opposition to the National Insurance Act in the South and West of Ireland and the alleged neglect of numbers of farmers to take any steps to obtain cards or purchase stamps in respect of the labourers they employ; and, if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter?
§ Mr. MASTERMANThe Commissioners' inspectors report that a certain number of employers are neglecting to carry out their duties under the Act in some districts of the West (and to a less extent the South) of Ireland. The Commissioners investigate any case of non-compliance which is brought to their notice, and will take legal proceedings where necessary.
