§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Women's National Health Association has applied for £25,000, which has been granted. The committee of management of Newcastle Sanatorium have applied for £10,000, and the Local Government Board have intimated that any expenditure which the committee may undertake on behalf of county councils will, with the approval of these councils, be granted. The county councils have applied for a share of the Grant on a basis 2097W of population, and the Grants shown in the following statement have so far been approved, subject to details of expenditure being in accordance with the Local Government Board's requirements:—
