"Bodo" in respect to whether she is a genuinely British ship and flying the British flag; and whether this steamer left Brunswick, Georgia, on or about 19th September last, flying the British flag, with her captain, officers, and crew wholly foreigners?
Mr. BUXTONA provisional certificate of British ownership was granted to the ss. "Bodo" by the British Vice-Consul at Brunswick, Georgia, on 6th September. It appears from the declaration of ownership that the vessel is owned by a company incorporated at Nassau, Bahamas. I understand that for the voyage commencing 20th September two firemen were of British nationality.
