§ Mr. LANSBURYasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the firm of Ellis and Company, Mill-wall, contractors to the War Office, are infringing the Fair-Wages Clause in that they pay their machinists 5½d. an hour, the recognised rate being 7d. per house for wire rope makers; and whether he will have inquiries made with a view to securing compliance with the Clause in question?
