HC Deb 11 March 1912 vol 35 cc930-1W
Mr. HUNT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the statement of Colonel Hughes, the Canadian Minister of Militia, that he could get no information about the new British rifle from England, but that he could learn all he wanted from Washington and Berlin; and whether he will take steps to provide that, in future, the Governments of our Dominions shall be kept informed on military matters to at least the same extent as foreign nations?

Colonel SEELY

As I have already explained to the House, certain communications were made to the self-governing Dominions concerning the proposed new rifle and ammunition.
