asked the Chief Secretary whether he can state the amount of the pension received by Mr. George Kells, ex-head constable Royal Irish Constabulary, who is at present clerk of the petty sessions at Athenry; and can he state the amount of the salary and emoluments he is at present drawing as clerk of the petty sessions at Athenry?

Ex-head constable George Kells is in receipt of a pension of £68 12s. 9d. The salary now paid to him as petty sessions clerk at Athenry is £78 per annum with a stationery allowance of £6 per annum.
