§ Mr. SNOWDENasked the, Postmaster-General whether the cases of those engineers denied the benefits of the new scales of pay authorised under the reorganisation of the engineering department as from the 1st July, 1911, have now been reconsidered, as promised; whether he is now able to announce the result of his reconsideration; and, if not, whether he will give an undertaking that no further appointments of persons outside the Post Office service will be made to the class of assistant engineers until the cases of the above-mentioned officers have been finally settled?
