§ Mr. ROYDSasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that valuers appointed under the Finance (1909–10) Act, 1910, in making valuations in the North of Ireland for the purpose of arriving at assessable site value, while allowing a deduction for a perpetual rent issuing out of the land, will not allow as a deduction a rent of a similar amount issuing out of land and payable for a term of 10,000 years, and that owners of land held for a term of 10,000 years are being called upon to pay Undeveloped Land Duty on the full site value without being allowed any deduction in respect of rent, while owners of land held in fee simple at a similar rent are exempt from such payment; and whether he will introduce legislation to remove the inequality?
