§ Mr. WILKIEasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether, in connection with the case of Lachlan McLean, the Cross, Duntocher, and the allegation that this young man signed the application form to the Prudential Society, he has now perused the sworn declarations of this young man and his parents; and, if so, is he prepared to order an inquiry?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI have had inquiries made into this case. As there is a conflict of evidence which may lead to legal proceedings I can say nothing more at present.
