§ Dr. ADDISONasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that heavy motor-omnibuses do considerable damage to the roadways of London and make no contribution towards the cost of their maintenance as do the tramways, he will consider the possibility in framing the next Finance Bill of imposing such charges upon these vehicles, and distributing the proceeds of the same in such a way as to secure that they make a fair contribution towards the repair and maintenance of the highways?
