HC Deb 03 April 1912 vol 36 c1262W
Mr. CLOUGH

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, whether an employer will be able by an examination of an employé's insurance card to ascertain from its size, shape, or colour that he is a member of an approved society or a Post Office contributor?

Mr. MASTERMAN

No, Sir. No distinction in either size, shape, or colour will be made between the cards of members of approved societies and those of deposit contributors; and there will be no indication of any kind in them which will enable the employer to ascertain to which of the two classes his workmen belong.
