§ Colonel SEELYIt appears on inquiry that a certain batch of forty-one horses was, with the exception of four, wholly unfit at the time for the work required, and that one gun had to be left behind in camp on one of the two days on which the horses were to be used. Steps have been taken to prevent a recurrence of such an incident.
