§ Lord ALWYNE COMPTONasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in cases where an income exceeding £5,000 is received for the year 1908–9, Super-tax for the year 1909–10 is payable notwithstanding that the income actually received or receivable for the year 1909–10 does not amount to £5,000; and, if so, whether he proposes to take any, and what, steps to remedy this state of affairs?
