Mr. ORMESBY-GOREasked the Home Secretary what were the precise terms of the order given by him on 18th November last to the police as to the desirability of avoiding the arrest of women who took part in the suffrage deputations on that day; whether the order was verbal or in writing, and to whom it was given; and what were the reasons for the order?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLNo orders, verbal or written, emanating directly or indirectly from me were given to the police engaged in dealing with the Suffrage demonstration either on or before the 18th November.
