HC Deb 24 July 1911 vol 28 c1489W
Captain MURRAY

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he had received a claim in respect of the alleged damage done by a war vessel to the nets of the Johnshaven fishing boat, "Father and Sons," M.F. 172, on the 7th July; and, if so, whether he will give the claim his consideration?

Mr. McKENNA

No claim has yet been received, but on receipt of a claim the matter will be investigated.

Major MORRISON-BELL

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he is now in a position to settle the claims of the Beer fishermen, whose claims for compensation have more than once been brought to the notice of the Admiralty during the last few months?

Mr. McKENNA

The matter is still under investigation, but it is hoped that a decision will be come to shortly.
