§ Lord CLAUD HAMILTONasked whether it is proposed to employ in the Victoria and Albert Museum a certain number of liveried attendants in place of members of the Metropolitan Police, as at present; and, if so, what is the object of the change?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANThe changes which have been made in the arrangements for the custody of the Victoria and Albert Museum were devised for reasons of economy. They consist in substituting a mixed force of police and uniformed warders for the homogeneous force of police hitherto employed.
