§ Mr. MORTONasked the Lord Advocate whether the Committee on Minor Legal Appointments in Scotland had yet presented its Report; if not, could he say when the Report would be issued; and what was the cause of the delay, in view of the facts that the Committee was appointed twelve months ago and finished the taking of evidence in June of last year?
§ Mr. UREThe answer to the first part of my hon. Friend's question is in the negative. I understand the Report referred to will be issued on an early day. The delay is due to the prolonged consideration which the members of the Committee have given to the important questions raised by the evidence.
