§ Mr. DOUGLAS HALLasked whether the Treasury will put in force Clause 7 of the Superannuation Act, 1909, and issue a regulation whereby the superannuation allowances and pensions of those persons who have served the State partly in the Army or Navy and partly in the Civil Service may be placed upon the same scale as those persons who have served wholly in the Civil Service?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSERules under Section 7 of the Superannuation Act, 1909, will shortly be laid before the House. I must, however, add that in view of the provisions of Section 4 of the Superannuation Act, 1892, the Treasury has no power to make any regulations of the kind suggested in the question.
