HC Deb 13 December 1911 vol 32 cc2494-6W
Mr. LARDNER

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that for the past twelve months the Great Northern Railway (Ireland) Company have kept the gates at the level-crossing over the county road at Monaghan Road station locked all night, with the result that travellers on the county road have to go to the porter's house and wake him up before they can get through the gates; and will he state what authority the Great Northern Railway company have for maintaining gates locked across a public road which is a main thoroughfare leading from the town of Monaghan to the town of Cootehill?
