§ Mr. RUNCIMANThe Annual Reports of the Civil Veterinary Department give the following statistics of deaths from foot-and-mouth disease in India:—
A decrease in the number of cases in the year 1910–11 is reported in the Punjaub, Eastern Bengal and Assam, Sind and Bengal; and an increase in Burmah, Bombay, Rajputana, United Provinces, North-West Frontier Provinces, and Madras.1374W

Subsequent Reports received from the British Consul for the Cairo district show that twenty-two head of cattle were attacked in that district in December, 1910. Reports from the same source during the current year give the following statistics:—
No reports on animal diseases have been received from the Egyptian Government since 1909.
