HC Deb 09 August 1911 vol 29 c1320W
Mr. NOEL BUXTON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture if steps will be taken to bring small fishermen as well as small cultivators into the scope of the Bill for establishing credit banks?

Sir E. STRACHEY

The suggestion of my hon. Friend will be kept in view, but I am advised that the promotion of fishery credit, and insurance societies on the same lines as those proposed in the agricultural credit and insurance societies would require a separate Bill, and special provision would have to be made for the expenditure entailed.
