asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will inform the House of the actual cost per ton of all armour supplied to the Admiralty during the last five years; the amount paid for guns, gun mountings, and ammunition; and what are the amounts in each case each year?

Mr. McKENNA

I regret that it is not considered desirable to give the information asked for in the first part of the Noble Lord's question, but I may say that there has been substantial reduction in the price

during the last five years. With regard to the latter part of the question, the particulars asked for are as follows:—
