HC Deb 21 March 1910 vol 15 c910W
Mr. DELANY

asked whether the Estates Commissioners have been requested by Mr. Hamilton Stubber to exchange the farms of Kilbrudy and Aghaboe, Queen's County, for places of much less value; and whether, considering that Kilbrudy and Aghaboe are evicted farms, and that the representatives of the evicted tenants are claiming them, the Chief Secretary will see that no bargain of this character is entered into, particularly as the Commissioners are acquiring the lands under the compulsory provisions of the Evicted Tenants Act?

Mr. BIRRELL:

On the hearing of the objection lodged by the owner in this case the Estates Commissioners decided to discontinue proceedings under the Evicted Tenants Act in regard to these lands, but, the owner having intimated his willingness to sell to the Commissioners other lands in his occupation, an inspector has been directed to report as to such lands.
