HC Deb 21 March 1910 vol 15 c922W
Mr. WEIR

asked the Lord Advocate, having regard to the fact that the bridge which was constructed last year over Applecross River, Ross-shire, collapsed owing to the piers not having been carried down to the solid rock, will he state whether the Congested Districts Board have now made arrangements for the reconstruction of the bridge?

Mr. URE:

The authority responsible for the reconstruction and maintenance of the bridge referred to is not the Congested Districts Board, but the County Road Board. The Congested Districts Board have, however, agreed to consider an application by the County Road Board for a grant in aid of the reconstruction of the bridge by the latter authority who have not yet submitted their scheme.
