§ Mr. BIRRELLThis estate has been purchased by the Estates Commissioners and undertakings to purchase have been signed by the tenants, with exception of the four referred to in the question. These four tenants have refused to purchase their holdings at the prices fixed by the Commissioners, and continue therefore as tenants, and as such are liable for their rents as heretofore. If the rent is not paid, legal proceedings will be taken for its collection.
