§ Sir WILLIAM COLLINSasked the First Commissioner of Works whether he will direct that the drags kept in Regent's Park and used in cases of drowning in the Regent's Canal be placed in more accessible positions than at present; and whether his attention has been called to the case of a youth rescued from drowning in the canal on 18th June, and to the fact that needless delay and injury to a constable resulted from the inaccessibility of the drags?
Mr. HARCOURTI am in communication with the police as to what arrangements can be made for the greater accessibility of drags. The last effort in that direction resulted in the theft of the implements.
