§ Mr. McKENNAMy attention has been drawn to the matter referred to. The answers to the petitions depend on the decision arrived at with regard to the recommendations of the Departmental Committee appointed to inquire into the writing staff at the Admiralty and dockyards. I hope this decision will be reached shortly. My hon. Friend will understand that the Admiralty alone have not complete discretion in such matters.
