HC Deb 20 April 1910 vol 16 c2280W
Mr. RICE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether raw hides taken from cattle previously imported and slaughtered at the ports are, when exported, included in the Board of Trade Returns under the head of Exports or Re-exports; and whether he can state what was the quantity of such exports in each of the last two years?

Mr. BUXTON

The hides in question, when exported are classified as Exports of the Produce and Manufactures of the United Kingdom; there are no separate figures available as to the quantity of such exports, which are included in the general heading of "Hides, Dry and Wet."
